Bringing More Balance to Work and Life: Celltrion’s “Camo Class”

2026.05.29

In today’s workplace culture, where employee benefits are considered just as important as salary, a recent survey found that 94% of employees prioritize a company’s benefits package when considering a career move.

Reflecting this shift, Celltrion offers a variety of programs designed to support employee growth and bring more vitality to everyday life. One of the most popular examples is “Camo Class,” our in-house one-day class program.

|   A Refreshing Break from Daily Routine: Celltrion’s Camo Class

Camo Class is a monthly hands-on workshop program designed to help employees recharge and refresh amid the routines of everyday life.

More than just a chance to learn something new, Camo Class encourages employees to discover new interests and experience the joy of immersion. The satisfaction and sense of accomplishment gained through the program naturally carry over into their work.

|   Time for Yourself, Joy with Family

Each Camo Class is designed around seasonal trends and employee interests. One of the most popular programs has been the “Personal Color Analysis” session.

The class helped participants discover the colors that suit them best and attracted overwhelming interest, with applications exceeding available spots by nearly 8 to 1.

Furthermore, Camo Class also offers programs that employees can enjoy with their families. From character cake decorating to K-POP dance classes, the diverse range of activities has created meaningful memories for employees and their families.

|   Better Together: Connecting Through Camo Class

Camo Class brings together employees from various departments, giving them a chance to connect more naturally by using nicknames instead of names or formal job titles.

One of the great things about Camo Class is the opportunity to connect with colleagues from other departments whom employees may not usually get to interact with. These small but meaningful moments of connection also help foster a stronger sense of belonging within the organization.

We spoke with Yu-jin Ha of the People Connect Team, the project manager behind Camo Class, about the inspiration behind the program and her experience running it.

Q. Please introduce yourself.

Hello, I’m Yu-jin Ha from the People Connect Team, where I manage our in-house Camo Class program.

Q. What was your main focus when planning the program?

The biggest focus for me was encouraging communication among participants. Rather than creating a program where people simply learn something and leave, I wanted it to be a space where colleagues who don’t usually interact could naturally talk, laugh, and connect with one another.

When selecting class providers, I give priority to those with experience running team-building programs or offering interactive group activities. I believe the role of both myself and the People Connect Team is to create more opportunities for employees to connect and help build a warmer, more connected workplace culture.

Q. Are there any particularly memorable comments or feedback that stood out to you?

One employee who participated in the personal color analysis class shared that after changing their style based on the session results, they received a lot of positive feedback from people around them. That experience especially stayed with me.
It made me realize that Camo Class goes beyond being just a one-time experience and can lead to small but meaningful changes in everyday life. I was once again reminded that the impact of the program can be much greater than expected.
That’s why, moving forward, I want to plan classes that are not only enjoyable, but also practical and meaningful in the long term.

Q. What kinds of classes or programs are you planning for the future?

This year, we are preparing programs that reflect seasonal themes and current trends, helping employees discover new interests and personal preferences. For example, we are planning classes such as whisky and coffee tastings, where employees can enjoy both learning something new and discovering their personal tastes and preferences.

We’re also preparing seasonal classes that match the time of year, such as leather crafting in the fall and Christmas tree-making during the holiday season. Going forward, I hope Camo Class will continue to be more than just a hobby program, offering employees a small but meaningful moment to recharge in their daily lives.

Today, we introduced Camo Class, one of Celltrion’s in-house employee programs. Celltrion will continue to offer a variety of classes that support the growth and well-being of every employee.

Stay tuned for more!
