I identify and analyze patents related to Celltrion’s products and develop strategies against possible issues such as patent invalidation or evasion. Moreover, I handle patent invalidation lawsuits.
What are the competencies and qualities required of your position?
You need a diploma in bioengineering, bio, chemistry, and other related areas, coupled with a keen interest in patent law. Furthermore, you should have a sense of responsibility to see tasks through to their timely completion thoroughly. Our job requires analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the courage to take on challenges. A predilection for debates is a huge plus as well.
What was your most memorable episode at work?
Patent litigation takes up a large part of our team’s responsibility, which requires close collaboration among team members. We develop arguments to invalidate patents, search literature, and visit libraries as necessary. I took part in many patent cases where our team members worked together to achieve victory. Such experiences give me a great sense of pride in my job.
Do you have any specific goals or visions? If so, what are they?
I want to become the best strategist in the intellectual property sector. Moreover, I aim to contribute to elevating Celltrion’s value by developing and executing effective strategies for the company’s products.
